The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition dated for Xbox 360 and PC

If you thought there weren’t going to be many big releases during the month of April then think again. CD Projekt has just announced that The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition will be released for both Xbox 360 and PC on April 17th, and will feature hours of new content as well as numerous gameplay tweaks.

PC gamers who own the original version of The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings will be pleased to know that they can download all the new additions for free on release day.

Some of the changes made to last year’s PC version for the Enhanced Edition include:

  • New CGI intro sequence
  • 33 minutes of new cinematics
  • Four additional hours of gameplay
  • Two new adventures
  • New characters
  • New locations
  • Revamped intelligent camera system
  • New target locking system
  • Improved Character Panel
  • New panels navigation bar
  • More responsive control system

The Xbox 360 version of The Witcher 2 spans two discs (just like its PC counterpart) and comes in two flavours. The standard edition includes a quest handbook, soundtrack CD and world map, while the deluxe ‘Dark Edition’ is packaged in a special edition box and adds an art book, medallion, three stickers and ‘making of’ DVD to the mix.
