According to Japanese gamers, no titles other than Gran Turismo 5 mattered last week as Sony?s realistic racing simulator debuted in the country to an incredible reception, selling nearly 431 000 copies in only a few days following its release on PlayStation 3.

So? maybe that’s a little bit of a lie. Japanese gamers also cared about the release of Super Robot Wars L for the DS, as that game sold 129 000 copies during its debut week on sale ? still a grand achievement!

Mario Sports Mix (a Wii game that happens to be another new title on Media Create?s Japanese Software Sales chart) managed to make its way into the homes of almost 85 000 Japanese gamers, while Super Mario All-Stars for Wii sold 47 000 units this past week in the region, and is a non-mover on the chart at No. 4.

Pokemon Black and White continues to do business in Japan after selling 43 000 copies and slipping down to No. 5 from No. 3 on the chart, and Call of Duty: Black Ops, last week?s No. 1, now sits at No. 6 with 31 000 units sold. Super Fossil Fighters for the DS sold 26 000 units to claim No. 7 on the sales listing (down from No. 2), and Dangan-Ronpa for PSP managed to sell 26 000 copies and make a debut chart appearance at No. 8.

Power Pro Kun Pocket 13 debuts at No. 9 with 25 000 units sold, and Wii Party hangs in there at No. 10, up from No. 14, by selling nearly 25 000 copies.
