What?s so newsworthy that we felt the need to come out of hiding?
Release dates have been announced for DC Universe Online as well as the European version of LittleBigPlanet 2, the first map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops has been revealed, and other interesting morsels have emerged, too.
Let?s first talk about that DC Universe Online release date: January 11th 2011 is when all of you would-be superheroes and supervillains in the US will be able to get your hands on Sony Online Entertainment?s massively multiplayer online action RPG, the UK will get it on January 14th, and other PAL regions will be able to check it out on January 12th.

And what about that release date for LittleBigPlanet 2 in Europe, the UK and other PAL regions? January 19th 2011 is the date European-types can look forward to, Australasian inhabitants can circle January 20th on their calendar, and gamers in the UK and Ireland can book January 21st off.

Also, tons of new pieces of downloadable content have been released today on Xbox LIVE Marketplace (and will be releasing later today on the PlayStation Network), including the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ? Additionally, the first map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops has been announced in the form of First Strike, and will include four all new multiplayer maps as well as a new Zombie map. Get the details over here.
