The WWE has been one of the most resilient sporting (I use the term sport lightly here) franchises in history. I remember watching the old WWF when I was still in primary school, and it?s still going strong with roughly 5 weekly shows, and they all seem to be at sold-out venues. I also remember watching Gladiators on TV, yet that has now completely disappeared, with a lack of innovation and repetitive, lacklustre presentation to blame.
The WWE games have seen a similar resiliency with annual, clockwork releases, but we?ve also seen an increase in WWE games with titles such as ?WWE Legends of WrestleMania.? But just like the television shows, the videogames have been facing some new competition from other titles such as EA Sports MMA and the UFC games from THQ (who also publishes the WWE games). So how does the latest game in the franchise stack up to the new competition?
