Now that PlayStation 3 owners have had their fun and Battlefield 3 Premium members have had a good look, it’s time for regular Xbox 360 and PC players of EA and DICE’s military shooter to see what the fuss is about in Close Quarters, the latest Battlefield 3 add-on content.
Available now over Xbox LIVE (for 1200 MS Points) and EA’s digital distribution service, Origin, Close Quarters can be summed up thus:
“Battlefield 3: Close Quarters is an expansion pack bringing the team play of Battlefield 3 to tight indoor environments. The HD Destruction lets players riddle the environment with bullets, reducing entire locales to ruin.”
Close Quarters adds four new maps, ten new weapons and ten additional Assignments to give you the chance of earning five unique Battlefield 3 dog tags.
I played Close Quarters over the weekend in two of the new maps, but unfortunately the server was very nearly empty so I didn’t get the full experience. The environment destruction is impressive, though.
