This week’s eShop Update sees another classic Mario title being added to the 3DS’ game library. Dr. Mario is a NES / Game Boy puzzle game from 1990 that sees the Italian plumber assume a far more prestigious role as he eradicates viruses by lining up capsules of the same colour.
Other content items this week include a demo for the puzzle platformer Pyramids and a new spot-the-difference game. If you live in the UK then you can enjoy another episode of Shaun the Sheep 3D and take in the awesome sights and sounds of the Kid Icarus: Uprising 3D animation. Both of these can be viewed in the Nintendo Video app and are absolutely free.
Here’s this week’s eShop Update in full:
- Pyramids is a puzzle/platform game where an explorer tries to escape from pyramids with his loot: a task that will not be easy. There are many dangerous traps and monsters that will put your dexterity and ingenuity to the test. The explorer can use TNT and a gun, but his best friend will be his shovel, which allows him to create and destroy blocks. These blocks can be used as stairs, as bridges, or for protection…
Dr. Mario - £2.70 / €3.00
- At Mushroom Kingdom Hospital, nasty viruses are on the loose. It’s time to give them a dose of Mario’s medicine! In this classic puzzle game you must eradicate all the viruses in the bottle, by spinning and lining up the coloured vitamin capsules as they fall. The more lines of viruses you clear, the more points you rack up, scoring huge combos. But beware of side effects: this game may be addictive!
Aahh! Spot the Difference - £1.80 / €2.00
- Complete 40 challenging levels in four unique scenarios by spotting the differences between the upper and lower screens. But you must be quick, as most of the objects and the camera are constantly moving. You can also test your skills in three additional modes: Survival, Speed Attack and Time Attack.
- Kid Icarus: Uprising 3D animation
- Shaun the Sheep 3D
