The promised debut Max Payne 3 trailer focussing on the game’s multiplayer mode has just been released and showcases some truly impressive gunfights and scenarios we’ll be privy to in this portion of the action title.
The most interesting and exciting part of Max Payne 3 multiplayer so far is the successful introduction of slow-motion action, or Bullet Time, in an online game using something called ‘Bursts,’ what we assume to be special abilities or perks earned during play.
The game’s ‘Gang Wars’ mode is also more fully revealed, with details on the “constantly evolving story-based scenarios” found in this part of Max Payne 3’s multiplayer offering, while ‘Payne Killer’ mode is also revealed, which will give players the chance to resume the role of Max Payne in multiplayer, tasked with shooting down as many other online players as possible.

Max Payne 3 is out on May 15th in North America and May 18th in Europe, while the PC version will launch on May 29th in North America and June 1st in Europe.
