Said American McGee:
“There will be DLC in the form of dresses that the player can download and Alice can wear. Those dresses come with special abilities and enhance how you play through the game.”
“There’s also going to be pretty significant release which is the original Alice brought over to the consoles,? McGee continued, ?so that a person who’s purchased Madness Returns gets a download code and is able to bring Alice 1 onto their console and play through the entire original game alongside playing Madness Returns.”
!
Feeling a bit lost? That sentence from McGee has surely put some of you (including me) in a bit of a spin, so let?s dissect and discuss, shall we?
American McGee?s Alice was a third-person action adventure game that released on PC in 2000. Hailed by many as a grand time, the game gained a cult following and garnered apparent critical and commercial success.
Now, years later, American McGee and his development studio, Spicy Horse, have once again teamed up with EA to bring the next entry to the series, Alice: Madness Returns, to PC, as well as Xbox 360 and PS3. It?s with the purchase of Alice: Madness Returns that you?ll receive a code to download the original game (American McGee?s Alice) and play on your chosen platform.
Head still hurting? Mine is, but don?t let that stop you from looking over the recently released box art for Alice: Madness Returns, and checking out El33tonline?s previous coverage of this excellent-looking title with screenshots, gameplay videos and more information.
Alice: Madness Returns is set for release on June 14th in North America for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
