El33t's Pre-W33kend Post: We indulge in uDraw, SingStar: Afrikaans, Borderlands and... boardgames?

It?s the end of a very busy week here at El33tonline, as we posted up more competitions, new batches of reviews, and tons of exciting (and disappointing) news!

It?s time to rest up, though, and what better way to do that than by meeting up with friends, powering up your favourite gaming platform, spinning up your favourite game, and immersing yourself in some digital delights? If there are better ways to spend your time, I would like to hear them! Mountain climbing? Pah! The beach? Please. Going to a movie?

OK, that actually sounds good, but gaming trumps them all!

Find out what we here are El33tonline will be up to over the next two days to relax and recharge for next week:

“The weekend could not come at a better time: the end of the week! Imagine if we started every week with 2 days off, by the end of the week with the 2 days off would have felt completely wasted!

This weekend Bryan and I are getting together for the Zombies in Borderlands. Co-op is the only real way to game and 4 player co-op beats 2-player co-op hands down! Now add zombies and you have a sure fire hit! But this time I am not starting over, huh-uh!

It?s also a good week for Bioware fans as Dragon Age 2 owners gets Mass Effect 2 on PC for the sweet price of nada! Yes, for freeeee! Now I can play the best game ever on the best platform ever! (Ahem - Ed)

Finally, its time to dust off the boardgames with friends. As I have said before, when it comes to gaming I am platform agnostic, and carboard is a legitimate platform!

Play hard kids!”

?It’s been a busy week trying to get my opinions formed on SHIFT 2 Unleashed. With that now out of the way, it’s time to wind down with a couple of PSN offerings and enjoy the simple pleasures of Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and raid some tombs in Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light.

If that sounds right up your street, then what are you waiting for? Both of these titles support online multiplayer so send me a friend invite and let’s get our game on (PSN ID = tom110584)!

Have a good one guys!?

?This weekend is off to a gloomy start in my household. The weather is poor and so is the general health in the home. I’m just hanging on against the virus but as always I’ve still got one eye on the symptoms and my other eye on the nearest exit point. I love my wife, I do, but if she starts showing the affinity for delicious braaaaaaaiiiins then I’m outta there.

For the meanwhile, I’m looking forward to the next stage of Borderlands with Oltman (and hopefully we can meet up with a few of Ned’s zombies along the way) and I’ve got to try out this new dishwashing vampire diary smiling thing. Not too sure what that’s about, but it’s still recently fresh on XBLA so hopefully I can find someone willing to co-op that with me so I can give it a solid review.

Until next weekend, go Sharks, go away virus, and go home :)?

?Hanging out with friends, playing brand new games, enjoying rainy weather after bouts of oppressive heat ? these are a few of my favourite things.

This weekend I?ll be getting to grips with SOCOM (also known as ?4? or ?Special Forces?) and continuing my extensive (or extended?) hands-on with the PlayStation Move Sharp Shooter with that exciting title, and then having a look at the vehicle-based combat of Red Faction: Battlegrounds (thanks PS Plus!). I?ll also be stalking some wildlife in theHunter (it?s a hunting game) and furiously writing reports on all of the above (not the angry type of furious? the other kind).

In amongst these gaming sessions and typing parties (?), I?ll be playing more games and eating delicious meats with mah? p33ps.

I?m exhausted just thinking about it ? time for that snooze??

This weekend I’ll playing some party games while chilling with some mates…there will definitely be some Kinecting and a little Pictionary with the uDraw GameTablet too. Things are bound to get a little loud with a few rounds of SingStar: Afrikaans Treffers and we may even blow the dust off the Rock Band drums, guitar and keyboard to really get the tunes pumping.

I’ll also be spending some more time with my 3DS with LEGO Star Wars and Nintendogs. And hopefully get some time to test out the new Killzone 3 map pack and Red Faction: Battlegrounds which I downloaded for free this week as a PlayStation Plus subscriber.

Lastly I hope to jump back into some co-op Uncharted 2 action - after last night’s awesome El33t M33ts I’m eager to finish off those hardcore guys with a bad attitude!

Have a great weekend everyone :) Hope you all have some awesome games to keep you busy!?

?Mother nature is shaping up the perfect gaming conditions of what looks to be a pro-longed weekend of rain. So provided the lightening stays out of this equation and provided I can make it out of bed …. let the games continue.

Sadly I have finished the Crysis 2 campaign but now I plan to spend some time online with this awesome title. I am also playing through Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars on the 3DS in Elite mode… it’s flipping hard if you are not the patient type. I’m not.

In between all this I have some mates coming over for a braai, so keen to try out the uDraw version of Pictionary in quirks mode. It is funk in that you get limited ink to draw with or are not allowed to lift your pencil etc.

Good gaming all.?

?I’ve been away from home this week, so any playing I’ve done has been on the 3DS, and it’s mainly been Pilotwings Resort and Pokemon Black. I am still loving Pilotwings - any fans of ExciteTruck or the previous Pilotwings should give this game a go, and it’s a great showcase for the 3D screen too.

Pokemon Black I’m enjoying more than any Pokemon game I’ve played before (although, my Pokemon history is limited to Pearl, Platinum and SoulSilver.) Everything feels so balanced and nuanced and I’ve caught the bug of collecting them all - fortunately there’s a whole new set of Pokemon and I’m only going to go for the new ones, not the 500 or so old ones… Look for the review very soon now.

This weekend I will be playing more Ridge Racer 3D, PES 3D (and probably Pokemon) as I fly back home.?

That’s all from us - what are you all up to this weekend?
