Nintendo enjoyed great success with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D on the 3DS so it comes as little surprise that another title in the beloved series is planned for the handheld.
Longtime Zelda producer Eiji Aonuma recently hinted at another 3DS Zelda game when he sent owners of Ocarina of Time 3D a suggestive message via the free 3DS app Swapnote (a.k.a. Nintendo Letter Box).
“Hello, this is Aonuma, Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda producer. Did you enjoy The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D? Thanks to everyone, the Legend of Zelda series had a very happy 25th anniversary. I hope you’re looking forward to new Legend of Zelda games.”
Could Aonuma be teasing an upcoming announcement for a 3DS version of Ocarina of Time’s sequel - The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, or is there an original Zelda game in development for the handheld?
Let us know what you’d like from the next 3DS Zelda title and we’ll keep you posted on any further developments regarding this unannounced game.
