Brink Update and DLC
Updates for Brink have been released across PlayStation 3 (finally!), Xbox 360 and PC platforms to fix a host of issues, while the development team continues to work on the online lag issue that some players are currently experiencing. One of the fixes concerns Brink?s matchmaking configuration to allow for eight human players total in Campaign and Freeplay modes.
The PC Brink update brings with it other fixes, and you can read the patch notes over here.
And lastly (but not leastly), Splash Damage and Bethesda Softworks will be giving away the first set of Brink downloadable content to players for free once it?s completed, providing you with new maps and content, gratis.
Witcher 2 DLC ? It?s all free!
Writing during a recent quick-fire question and answer session on Facebook, developers from CD Project RED revealed that all future downloadable content for the team?s recently released Witcher 2 will be available for free to registered users.
From the Q&A:
“Let me announce that all our DLCs will be FREE. All of them. If anything will be for purchase, those will be expansion packs. First DLC (side-quest called “Troll Trouble”) airs together with the game release.”
In a more official announcement, game director Adam Badowski said:
“With The Witcher 2 now released, we’re eager to see what people will say after playing it. At the same time, we’re not ready to rest, take a long vacation or just count our sales. We’re continuing to work just as hard!
?An example is the DLC we’ve made available today. It’s only the first in our DLC 4 FREE series for registered users, and we’re also planning various other goodies to help encourage everyone to register.”
If you?re having Witcher 2 registration troubles at the moment, stick with it as CD Project is frantically trying to sort out its servers to cope with the demand.
