This week’s 3DS eShop Update is a little sparse with just two new titles being added to the eShop’s game library. Dot Runner: Complete Edition is a revamped version of the Japanese 3DS game Dot Eater while new DSiWare title Abyss sees you exploring the dark depths of Earth in the year 3024.

It would be great to see Nintendo release some classic Game Boy Advance and DS titles on the 3DS eShop now that certain titles for these platforms are becoming increasingly difficult to source.

Here’s this week’s Update in full:

3DS Download Software

  • Dot Runner: Complete Edition - £4.50 / €5.00

    • Dot Eater, a Nintendo 3DS downloadable title from Japan, has now been revamped for the overseas market with brand new content and a new name – Dot Runner: Complete Edition! 50 new stages have been added for an impressive total of 100 stages for you to play through. With war raging, can BOLT defeat Chop Suey, the boss of the Yakkini-ku Corps?

DSiWare

  • Abyss - £1.80 / €2.00

    • Earth, 3024. Natural resources are scarce and the survival of the human race is in danger. Desperate to find new energy resources, the ASAN creates Nep2no: a biomechanical robot capable of withstanding extreme depths in the hope of finding new energy sources. After many years of exploration, a new energy source is found: codenamed ‘Gaia’. Your mission will be to find the ‘Gaia’ energy stones by exploring the depths. To do so, you must control Nep2no by counteracting gravity and the surrounding darkness with the aid of a light – however, that light goes out little by little…
