With the weekend just hours away, I’m sure most of you are busy daydreaming about the great times which lie in wait as another weekend pulls up beside you.
This week has been chock-a-block with the birthdays of three fellow El33tonline contributors; a true gaming legend; and a big black box which has led to some incredible franchises and advancements in online technology over the years.
Over and above a few new reviews and competitions, there’s also been the usual spate of gaming news which, I’m sure you’ll agree, hasn’t let up despite the working week drawing to a close.
Keep on reading to learn what the El33tonline team will be getting up to this weekend:

?A weekend away at the coast means I?ll be spending some quality time with Mario on my 3DS. I?ll also be testing out the Pokemon Trading Card Game, still a bit nervous about whether I will become one of those ?gotta get ?em all? kind of girls. The rest of the weekend will be spent having fun with mates and enjoying a few new card games I picked up in Germany this year.
Enjoy the weekend p33ps, wherever you will be…?

B.O.R.E.D. Games! What, who said that?
“It’s not ‘bored games,’ it’s board games! And with a chance to play some excellent cardboard and paper based interactive entertainment for a change during a weekend away with (hopefully) the sun shining and sand at my feet, I’m looking forward to continuing my discovery of this fantastic pastime.
See you next week, enjoy the weekend everybody!”

“Cabin fever! Thats what I will be busying myself with this weekend. Heading down to the South Coast of the most beautiful province in the country, where the oceans are warm enough to swim in and far enough from the hole in the ozone to enjoy the sun without getting skin cancer.
However the weather looks a bit bleak and getting stuck in a cabin with a bunch of other geeks might just push me over the edge. Let’s hold thumbs for Eskom to keep up regular broadcast service so that I can at least continue my dragon slaying quest in Skyrim. Oh yes, it runs on my laptop, and while it does not look as good as my desktop PC it actually still looks better than some of the 360 footage I have seen.
So, in short: KZN > Cape, PC > 360. With those 2 cans opened, have yourself a great weekend!”

“The weekend is finally here, and while the weather in Durbs is not ideal at the moment, the fun and games awaiting me over the next few days offer a far brighter outlook!
I’ll be playing some EyePet & Friends this weekend, and being a huge fan of Augmented Reality I can’t wait see see what advances SCE London Studio have made over the already excellent EyePet: Move Edition.
I’m also keen to play some more Dark Souls after reaching level 267 thanks to an infinite souls glitch I discovered on YouTube. As cool as this sounds, being so powerful makes life in Lordran quite lonely as the game matches you to players of a similar level.
Enjoy the break p33ps!”

“Gaming is afoot this weekend!
Having turned down an opportunity to review Saints Row because it wouldn’t send quite the right message to my very impressionable eleven-month old daughter I’ve instead accepted the daring responsibility of reviewing Rise of Nightmares. After all, as a good dad, I couldn’t bare the thought of passing up an opportunity to teach my very impressionable eleven-month old daughter the valuable lessons of zombie survival!
Maybe somewhere through the course of the weekend my buddy and I will recover some lost progress in Dead Island thanks to a save game corruption (not even the latest patch has saved us from that pain) and possibly Sunday night will see Oltman and I duking it out at the gym again before trying our hand at Dead Rising 2 co-op once more.
… Thing is, I’ve got a feeling this weekend just isn’t big enough for all of these zombies expeditions …”
We’d love to hear your plans for this weekend, so be cool and leave us something to chew on in the comments box below.
