Link's search for Princess Zelda continues in South Africa - will you help?

“It’s dangerous to go alone…”

With these words, Link set off on his first ever adventures in the sprawling lands of Hyrule, but as the years wore on, the legendary advice given to Link as a boy has come to mean more than simply ‘carry a sword’ and ‘be prepared’ while on a quest.

Much more.

Link has learned that it’s dangerous to go alone in life, too, and has finally sought to profess his true feelings to Princess Zelda of Hyrule and live happily ever after with the woman of his dreams.

The problem is, Zelda is nowhere to be found.

It All Started With a Marriage Proposal… at rAge 2011

Link was certain that Zelda felt the same way about him - so certain, in fact, that he organised an elaborate marriage proposal at rAge in South Africa this year… but the result wasn’t quite what he expected. See for yourself:

Ever determined, Link has put that traumatic event behind him and has set out on a journey to find his true Princess Zelda, travelling the lengths and breadths of South Africa (a lesser known region of Hyrule, we believe) to discover where she might be.

But who is Link?

Since setting out on this quest, Link has documented every step of the journey with his YouTube account, ’FindingZelda,’ and to better widen his search and increase his chances of success, he’s even signed up on Twitter and Facebook to get any and all leads as to the whereabouts of Princess Zelda - Link is quite technologically savvy!

This is where you come in, however. In order to help Link find Zelda, we’re going to ask you to ‘Like’ his Facebook page and follow him on Twitter, and if you’ve got any advice or clues about where he might find Zelda, let him know!

We’re also going to ask you to hit up El33tonline on Facebook and Twitter and post any suggestions about where Zelda could be, but also be sure to send us photos of possible locations - we’ll feature the best pics and comments and there may even be a few small prizes in it for you.

Lastly, Link is throwing a party at the end of the week to more effectively bring the search to him, so if you’re in Johannesburg on December 3rd, you should stop by - here are the details.

You can also find out about how the planning for the party is going with two more videos, and by keeping an eye on Link’s YouTube page, FindingZelda:

Good luck Link!
