In this age of high definition remakes and publishers’ insistence on dredging up old franchises to put a fresh new spin on them, the chances of seeing one of your all-time favourite games and series making a comeback are very good indeed, so with this latest Question of the Day we’re asking:
What classic game or game series do you want to see come back?
We’re going to guess a lot of you are going to mention classic adventure games, and we’ve already seen LucasArts franchises like Monkey Island and Sam & Max return with Telltale’s fresh takes, while Sierra’s series, like Space Quest, King’s Quest and Police Quest, would probably also be high on many a list.
I would personally enjoy returning to the Land of the Dead in a new Grim Fandango adventure with Manny and the gang (only if it’s helmed by Tim Schafer), but a new Star Control (if it’s made by Toys For Bob and Paul Reiche III) would be the ultimate game franchise return for me.
