We’ve seen plenty of PS Vita game footage in recent months, but what about the graphical user interface (GUI) which serves to make our interaction with the system both visually appealing and intuitive?
The fine fellows over at Eurogamer have posted a batch of screenshots which offer an awesome glimpse at what we can expect from PS Vita in this particular department.
Sony appears to have scrapped the XrossMediaBar (XMB) in favour of a more colourful, icon-based interface which will undoubtedly take advantage of the PSV’s front and rear touch panels.
Be sure to check out the full gallery below, and remember that the GUI represented here is likely to undergo a wide range of tweaks (via firmware updates) once we make meaningful inroads into the Vita’s life cycle.
Let us know what you think of PSV’s current GUI and whether or not you’d like to be able to switch to the traditional XMB setup when the inclination arises.
Without further ado, feast your eyes on some of the facets of Vita’s work in progress firmware!
