On the back of the exciting announcement that the Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta would be arriving at the end of September (next week!), there?s been a follow-up reveal regarding upcoming downloadable content for EA and DICE?s massively anticipated military shooter on PlayStation 3.
Announced on the official PlayStation Blogs, it seems as though PS3 owners will receive all future ?full-blown expansion? DLC for Battlefield 3 one week ahead of the other platforms (i.e. Xbox 360 and PC), resulting in a nice period of timed-exclusivity.
This deal will come into affect following the release of the upcoming ?Back to Karkand? expansion pack (which contains four re-imagined Battlefield 2 maps, new weapons and vehicles, new Trophies/Achievements, and support for Battlefield 3?s persistence system).
Will you be jumping into the Battlefield 3 multiplayer beta? Everyone gets access on September 29th until October 10th, but there are special conditions for early access on September 27th, too.
Look out for the release of Battlefield 3 on October 25th in the US and October 28th in Europe and the UK, and don?t hesitate hit up El33tonline’s extensive previous coverage.
