Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition by Hennessey

The Chevrolet Corvette has always been the standard from which all other American sports cars are measured. Its history is rooted in a long and storied past that evoked the feeling of what the true potential of an American sports car should be.

In recent years, the Corvette has spurned some new versions, including the high-performance Corvette Z06, which, incidentally, is the latest subject of noted American tuning firm Hennessey.

Coming with all the standard Hennessey regalia, the Corvette Z06 Carbon Edition features a TVS2300 supercharger system, a high-flow air induction system, high-flow cylinder heads, an HPE engine management calibration, new cylinder heads, a fuel injector upgrade, stainless steel mid-pipes and long tube headers, and high-flow catalytic converters.

All these modifications resulted in the Corvette Z06’s 7.0-liter V8 engine receiving an increased output of 700 horsepower at 6,200 rpm, a sizable improvement from the standard figures of 505 horsepower at 6,300 rpm.

In addition to the impressive improvements in performance output, Hennessey also added their usual bells and whistles, complete with exterior badging, carbon fiber door sills, premium floormats, and serial-numbered dash and engine plaques.

There aren’t a lot of differences as far as the look of the car, but once you start the engine and pop open the hood, that’s where you’ll notice a whole new world.
