I?ve watched the NHL series of games win many ?sports game of the year? awards in recent times and was always curious to discover what makes it so great, but after playing NHL 12 I can see why developer EA Canada has garnered so many awards over the years. This is a studio that is not only passionate about creating the most enjoyable, deep and realistic ice hockey simulation possible, but also one that is highly ambitious in terms of what features sports games on current-gen consoles can include.
