Nintendo 3DS priced for South Africa

At a lavish pre-launch party hosted by Core Gaming last night at Monte Casino in Johannesburg, South Africa, and in amongst the remarkable circus performances, pumping music, intricate decorations and flashing lights, a swathe of details spilled forth on the Nintendo 3DS, including an official, final price point for the handheld console in South Africa.

When the 3DS launches in South Africa on March 25th, gamers can expect the console to retail at R2799 ? a price that compares very favourably with that of Europe.

In addition, most games for the system will retail for R499, and on day-one of the handheld?s availability you?ll be able to pick up any of the following titles:
