November is a crazy time of year for video game releases, with heavy-hitters like Uncharted 3 and Skyrim competing for your cash before the holidays have even begun. If you’re a fan of arcade racing titles then Need for Speed: The Run will probably be another November game on your ‘most-wanted’ list, and yesterday EA announced you’ll be able to sample a demo for it as early as the middle of October.
In a news story which has subsequently been removed from EA’s website, the publisher revealed a demo will be released on October 18th which gives you the chance to drive a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni in a desert environment. You’ll also be able to hop into a 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera if you recommend the sample to a friend in-demo.
I’m not sure what to make of EA pulling down the article so soon after it went live. However, I think it’s safe to assume that a demo for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of NFS: The Run will be released around the October 18th date originally stated.
Need for Speed: The Run will be available on all major platforms on November 15th in North America and November 18th in PAL territories.
