WRC 3 is revving onto store shelves this October and looks set to lift the rally genre to new heights in terms of depth and authenticity. The game is the first rally title for PS Vita and it will be very interesting to see how the handheld version’s graphics stack up to its console and PC counterparts.
Italian developer Milestone has discussed at length how WRC 3 uses a brand new in-house engine to achieve superior lighting, particle, and crowd effects, as well as more realistically modelled courses. You can see the fruit of the studio’s labour in the gameplay video below which showcases the rolling hills and winding roads of the Spanish leg of the FIA World Rally Championship:
