Earlier today Minecraft creator Markus “Notch” Persson announced via Twitter that sales of the Xbox LIVE Arcade version of this phenomenally successful game have just passed the 3 million mark.
Minecraft currently holds the record for the most commercially successful XBLA title of all time, having sold over 1 million copies globally in its first week alone. As of May 25th the game had sold around 9 million units across XBLA, PC, Android and iOS platforms.
