The Tomb Raider series has been around for sixteen years and looks to be in better shape than ever thanks to Crystal Dynamics’ upcoming reboot. The game stars a 21-year-old Lara Croft who is shipwrecked on a perilous island off the coast of Japan, and you can expect it to feature ‘survival-adventure’ gameplay with open world elements as Lara faces up to the island’s mysterious forces.
Square Enix has announced that Tomb Raider will be coming to PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on March 5th, 2013. The publisher also released the game’s E3 trailer which features entirely in-engine cinematics and gameplay footage. The trailer contains minor plot spoilers so steer clear of it if you don’t want a single element of the storyline spoiled for you.
