It was only a few hours ago that E3 2012 came to a close here in Los Angeles where the El33tonline crew (also known as The 33rd Away Team) comprising Lisa, Wayne and myself have spent the last few days running around the LA Convention Centre.
Why would we engage in such madess, walking thousands of steps and dozens upon dozens of kilometres up and down the corridors and cavernous halls of the expo? To bring you images, video and coverage of the massive event!
The show may be over, but we’ve got megatons of previews, interviews, stories, photos and moving pictures to share with you in the coming week/s, so sit tight and look forward to it!
In the meantime, you can see a small selection of miscellaneous goodies we’ve collected at the show, surrounding our honorary mascot for this trip. The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) has also sent out a press release to mark the closing of this year’s show with news the show’s attendance numbers.
“45 700 video game industry professionals, investor analysts, journalists, and retailers from 103 countries attended this week’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2012) in Los Angeles, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) announced today,” wrote the ESA in the release.
“Owned by ESA, E3 resulted in an estimated 30 000 total hotel room nights and generated nearly $40 million in revenue for the city. Approximately 200 exhibitors showcased the latest in computer and video game hardware and software, including the unveiling of the titles that will be the hottest titles among consumers.”
