Thankfully we’ve received some new details about the Collector’s and Limited Edition’s availability and pricing in South Africa, as well as some of the pre-order incentives available at a couple of popular local retailers.

Firstly, the good news is that the awesome Collector’s Edition we detailed back in March will be available in South Africa for the suggested retail price (SRP) of R999.99 on PS3 and Xbox 360 and R799.99 on PC. The Darksiders II Collector’s Edition includes the following:

  • Limited Edition copy of Darksiders II
  • Replica Life-sized Death Mask
  • Unique in game Armor set & Weapon
  • Darksiders II Digital Soundtrack
  • Hardcover Art Book

The Limited Edition on the other hand, has a SRP of R599.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3 and R399.99 on PC. This edition comes with a code for the Argul’s Tomb DLC which includes an additional dungeon to explore. The DLC is expected to be made available sometime after the game’s release.

Now onto the exclusive pre-order incentives at two of South Africa’s most popular game retailers - BT Games and Kalahari.com. If you pre-order the Limited Edition from BT Games you’ll receive the Death Rides DLC, which is described as follows:

“Featuring multiple exclusive side-quests, this pack allows the most fearless adventurers to explore more of the Maker’s Realm and Dead Plains and earn additional experience and loot. Aid an ancient Construct, battle The Bloodless and retrieve Karn’s lost treasure in this unique game play content.”

Pre-order the Limited Edition from Kalahari and you’ll receive the Deadly Despair DLC:

“Ride into battle with increased speed thanks to the Deadly Despair pack. This unique pre-order offer adds an additional speed boost for Death’s trusty steed Despair, allowing players to travel across the vast world even faster than before. This perk is a permanent increase that will last throughout the game.”
