LittleBigPlanet Karting is shaping up to be another great PlayStation 3 exclusive that stays true to the LBP series’ tagline: ‘Play, Create, Share’. Media Molecule has entrusted this new entry in the franchise to ModNation Racers developer United Front Games, who appears to be treating this valuable license with the utmost care and respect.

The PlayStation Blog recently published an interview that features LBP Karting’s design director William Ho discussing some of the game’s most appealing features. He goes into some detail about the customisation tools that should feel instantly familiar to LBP fans, and even mentions some of the moves you can pull off during races such as slapping your opponents and using Sackboy’s grappling hook. Take a look at the illuminating interview below:

LittleBigPlanet Karting will be released exclusively for PS3 sometime later this year (sadly United Front Games has confirmed that there’ll be no PS Vita version). Expect Sony to unveil plenty of new details about the game at E3 next month, and you can count on El33tonline to keep you up to speed with all the upcoming revelations related to Sackboy’s latest outing.
