Those two insane-minded, intergalactic-travelling, pig-nose-wearing, adventure game-creating, weirdly-dressed guys are back to take us on another adventure through time and space!
That’s right! The Two Guys From Andromeda, the original creators of the classic series of Sierra adventure games, Space Quest, have got back together to begin work on a new game under a new company name, Guys From Andromeda!
The Two Guys From Andromeda, also known as Scott Murphy and Mark Crowe, together worked on the first four Space Quest games before Crowe left Sierra. Interestingly, Crowe designed Space Quest 5 while working at another company, Dynamix, while Murphy was involved in other Sierra work at the time and wasn’t able to contribute to that title.
Development on Space Quest 6 began without the direct help of either Murphy or Crowe, but Murphy was later brought on to finish the project following consultation work after the lead developer on the game left Sierra.
Development on Space Quest 7 began, but was never completed.
While neither Crowe nor Murphy hold the rights to the Space Quest franchise or name (currently wrapped up in Activision Blizzard following the Vivendi Games merger), the duo’s planned game will most likely fit into a similar mould, as explained in the (very peculiar) public pitch video below:
Two Guys from Andromeda (Creators of Space Quest from Sierra ) are back!
If you want to see another adventure game from the Two Guys, then make your way to the official website, visit them on Facebook and Twitter, and spread the word!
