It’s been a long time coming but the first PS Vita firmware update since the system’s worldwide launch is now live. The update clocks in at 97 MB and adds a couple of new options to the Settings menu along with two other minor enhancements.
Here’s the full list of changes in v1.65:
A “Notification Alert” option will be added to Settings, so you can toggle alerts on or off
“After 10 minutes” will be added to the time options under Power Save Settings
An Arrow icon will now appear when PS Vita finds new activities in the LiveArea
Caps Lock will be supported in the On Screen Keyboard
There are currently three ways to perform an update on PS Vita. You can download the new firmware directly to your system using WiFi or you can connect it to a PS3 or PC and perform the update from within the Content Manager app.
